Sittara

Sittara has been studying Middle Eastern dance with Nadirah Johara since 2004, and has taken workshops with Katia of Boston, Ansuya, and Bahaia. She enjoys the dramatic, sensuous aspect of the dance, and her favorite props are candles, fire tray and veil. She serves as the historian for the Johara Dance Ensemble, keeping records and mementoes of all their performances.

By day Sittara is a design engineer on military aircraft.
