Nahlah

Nahlah took her first belly dance lesson from Nadirah Johara in January, 2004. It was a blast. Today, she is a continuing student and member of the Johara Dance Ensemble. Nahlah is amazed that she has learned so much about Middle Eastern Dance, its history, various styles, rhythms and all the possibilities (so much to learn, so little time).
As a continuing student, Nahlah routinely attends workshops to increase her knowledge and technique from some of these well-known instructors: Katia of Boston, Dr. Mo Geddawi, Nagwa Fouad, Magda and Atef Farag, along with Carolena Nericcio, Megha Gavin and Urban Gypsy. Nahlah enjoys learning different styles of this dance along with performing (oriental, folkloric, cane, fire tray, candle, veil, pop and tribal style). She knows that it will keep her young!!!

When Nahlah is not dancing, she is enjoying her new house, her new husband Rick and their other hobby, vintage sports car racing. By day, Nahlah goes by the name Nancy and is a Design Engineering Manager.
